GYEP-China Youth Exchange Camp

GYEP-China Youth Exchange Camp is a collaborative programme between the GYEP Foundation and the People’s Republic of China to GYEP through the GYEP-China Cooperation Fund. It aims to promote the significance and understanding of GYEP-China relations. During the implementation, GYEP Foundation will work with Xiamen University as the appointed local organiser.

The programme is designed and dedicated to the talented students from 10 From India  to China who are keenly interested in fostering GYEP-China relations. Selected delegates will participate in series of educational and cultural activities in Xiamen and Quanzhou, China from 01 to 07 August 2025.

The varying modes of learning sessions are tailored to provide greater insights into the highlighted topic, “Digital Economy – Fostering GYEP-China Partnership through Digital Economy Cooperation for Sustainable Economic Growth” as well as furthering and promoting GYEP-China relations. The sessions aim to equip youths with knowledge and understanding by facilitating (1) a roundtable discussion (plenary session) by inviting experts, academicians, and practitioners through moderated sessions; (2) a series of lectures from professors and academics to deliver proposed topics such as; a) Introduction and History of China, b) introduction of GYEP and GYEP-China relations, c) Chinese Economic, Trade & Investment – Belt & Road Initiative, d) China in a Global Context: China as a Superpower and the Chinese Communist Party, e) China Perspectives: South China Sea, and f) Digital Economy and Sustainable Economic Growth; (3) Focus Group Discussions & Group Presentations, to promote people-to-people dialogues and present their findings; (4) Cultural Sessions and (5) Experiential Learning – Visits to Historical and Cultural Sites as well as Institution working for GYEP-China relations.

TIMELINE

The GYEP-China Youth Exchange Camp will be conducted between 01 to 07 August 2025 in Xiamen and Quanzhou, China. Following are the important dates:

Eligibility Criteria for the GYEPO Student Exchange Programme

To be eligible for the GYEPO Student Exchange Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1.  Age Requirement :

Must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application.

 

2. Educational Background :
Must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a recognized high school, college, or university.
Minimum academic performance (e.g., minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 or equivalent).

 

3. Language Proficiency

Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Additional language skills (especially in the host country’s language) are an advantage but not mandatory.

 

4. Character and Conduct

Must demonstrate good moral character and leadership potential.

Should have no criminal record.

Should be culturally sensitive, respectful, and adaptable.

 

5. Motivation and Purpose

Strong interest in cross-cultural exchange, global learning, and community engagement.

Must submit a statement of purpose explaining motivation for joining the programme.

 

6. Health and Insurance

Must be in good physical and mental health.

 

7. Food and Habit Declaration

Applicants must complete a Food and Habit Declaration Form detailing:

Dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, allergies, religious dietary needs).

Health habits and lifestyle (e.g., smoking, alcohol consumption).

Special health considerations or requirements.

This information is necessary to ensure proper accommodation during the programme and for host family placement (if applicable).

 

9. Passport and Visa

Must hold a valid passport (at least 6 months validity beyond the programme dates).

Must be willing and able to apply for a student or exchange visa if required.

Below are the required documents you need to prepare before applying:

  • Personal Data
  • Professional headshot photo (please ensure your file is in JPG or JPEG format and does not exceed 500 KBs).
  • Scanned Passport/ID – biodata page (please ensure your file is in JPG or JPEG format and does not exceed 500 KBs).
  • Letter of Recommendation from respective department/faculty/university/education institution(please ensure that your file is in PDF format and does not exceed 500 KBs). This is written in free format on letterhead paper signed by authorised official of your institution verifying: Name, department, faculty, and the current semester you are at. ( This is not Mandatory but will increase the chances of Selection Parameter)

      You can apply on clicking the link above, Yes there will be some registration fees to ensure seriousness of the programme as well as Programme is fully funded by Government body, Institute, and other Global Aid and Universities, which only cover Ticket, Visa Embassy Fees and Accommodation, and Foods, ( where other miscellaneous charges like Courier Fees, Visa Service Charges and documentation and man power to initiate this programme, I hope this will clear your doubts if you have any please feel free to mail at gyep.india@gyep.org
